Working Pattern: Full time

Working location: Raynesway (Derby)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Advisor to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. You will be reporting to an Operational HSE Manager and working towards ensuring world-class HSE standards by using a risk-based approach to managing the risk from our operations and activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform and record regular site tours/inspections ensuring acceptable standards and behaviours are performed.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Actively engage and communicate with various stakeholders to positively influence a strong HSE culture on site.
  • Contribute towards ensuring our HSE management systems are continually improved.
  • Identify trends and ensure improvement plans are completed in full.

Who we’re looking for:

We seek individuals who embody agility, boldness, collaboration, and simplicity. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, inspire confidence, work collaboratively, and possess a positive attitude with the ability to communicate effectively about HSE matters at all levels.

Post characteristics:

  • Driving licence is essential as we are a multi-site business.
  • Baseline security checks will be conducted and are essential.
  • Professional membership (IOSH/IIRSM/IEMA/ISEP) is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General/Construction Cert or NVQ level 3 Occupational Health and Safety
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5/6 Occupational Health and Safety
  • IEMA/ISEP Environmental Certificate or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a HSE Advisor/Manager.
  • Proven track record working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Construction/Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.

Security Requirements:

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you must hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have this. Due to the nature of the business, you must hold UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny.
