Role Overview

The jobholder will lead, motivate, and develop a team of Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, serving as their focal point towards other departments. This role reports to the Head of Quality Plant and is crucial for ensuring quality standards within production and AIT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the QA engineering team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for QA engineers to other areas.
  • Prepare executive summaries and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Harmonize activities and practices within the QA team.
  • Promote a preventive quality mindset and ensure the implementation of basic quality processes (Non-Conformities management, Root Cause Analysis, NRB, quality authorization, operational surveillance, etc.).
  • Ensure the QA team provides essential quality documentation, including the Quality Assurance Plan, Quality Control Plan, and inspection reports for various projects.
  • Coordinate subcontracted inspection services in the cleanroom.
  • Consolidate the QA budget and estimate resource needs for QA/QI for different projects.
  • Perform QA operative work for projects, acting as the main quality contact throughout the assembly, integration, and test (AIT) phases.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing inspections, KIPs, and MIPs.
  • Manage non-conformities and deviations raised during AIT phases.
  • Organize and manage reviews, such as Integration Readiness Reviews (IRRs).
  • Identify and implement measures to reduce the cost of quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent (e.g., Physics, Chemistry).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the quality domain for space sector projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating people.
  • Fluent in Spanish (at least C1) and English.
  • Objectives-oriented.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
