About the Role
Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Health and Safety Training Assistant to play a pivotal role in strengthening safety culture across their nuclear and engineering operations. You will be instrumental in designing and delivering engaging training that ensures personnel operate safely, confidently, and in line with regulatory standards. This role supports critical national projects and contributes to a safe and secure world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality health, safety, and environmental training sessions across multiple locations.
- Review and update training materials to align with current legislation and company standards.
- Develop engaging digital learning packages for internal training platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external bodies such as IOSH and ECITB.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure documentation remains up-to-date.
Role Details
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available, though regular onsite presence is required. The role can be based at any of Cavendish Nuclear's main locations, including Bristol, Cheshire, Leicester, Berkshire, or Cumbria.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering face-to-face and/or virtual training sessions.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and locations.
- Experience in managing and updating training materials in a structured and organised manner.
Qualifications
- Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Safety).
- A recognised training or teaching qualification from an accredited body.
- Minimum Tech IOSH membership (or working towards it) with active Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Experience delivering IOSH training (such as Managing Safely) is advantageous.
- First-Aid Trainer or Mental Health First-Aid England Trainer qualifications are advantageous.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
