Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fuel and Fire Protection Systems Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). You will be an integral part of the Fuel, Inerting and Fire Protection Systems Department, contributing to the development of advanced Fire Protection Systems for Cabin and non-pressurized environments, as well as for Mission Platforms within Fuel and Air-to-Air Refuelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage equipment specification and lead supplier follow-up activities.
- Support System Verification & Validation (V&V), Certification / Qualification processes, and the drafting of Means of Compliance (MoCs).
- Provide on-site support for activities within the Final Assembly Line (FAL) or through secondment.
- Coordinate system management activities in collaboration with Integrators, Chief Engineers (CEs), and Programme stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical knowledge in fluid and mechanical aircraft systems, along with experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development.
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is essential.
- Soft Skills: High adaptability to new challenges and a strong collaborative spirit within dynamic environments.
