FPGA Designer at MBDA

Are you an experienced FPGA Designer looking to contribute to the development of complex FPGA platforms? Join MBDA, a company at the forefront of innovation, and take the next step in your career.

MBDA's FPGA Design team is rapidly growing, seeking talented FPGA Design Engineers to work on a diverse range of projects. These include advanced signal processing systems (Image / Radio), core embedded processing systems, and safety and security-critical systems.

Your role will encompass all phases of the FPGA design life cycle, from requirement inception through to validated design. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence design decisions, leverage the latest technologies from top FPGA vendors, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations using VHDL and Simulink, targeting Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices.
  • Ability to verify complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM test-bench methodologies.
  • Proficiency in FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim).
  • Strong skills in generating low-level C software for FPGA test and integration with embedded systems.
  • Ability to configure and document designs to a high professional standard.
  • Ideally, educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification).

Please note that some roles may require an elevated level of security clearance. As a minimum, all successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks.
