About the Role
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer (f/m) to join a brand-new team in Toulouse, France, working on an exciting and challenging new upcoming military program within the Military Derivatives department of Air Power. Your Challenges
As a member of our team, you will undertake the following challenging tasks:
- Analyze and validate metallic parts in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT), as well as composite or hybrid structures.
- Write and/or check stress dossiers, reports, justifications, test programs, and reports.
- Define justification approaches and ensure the progress of activities, with support from Technical Authority and Senior Engineers.
- Support manufacturing by assessing non-conformities.
- Work closely with design engineers and interface/communicate with relevant stakeholders including experts, civil/military authorities, internal and external engineering teams, and sub-contractors.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following abilities, skills, and competencies with proven experience:
- Master's degree in an Engineering School (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance.
- Good level of knowledge of Airbus Calculation methods & tools.
- Good communication skills.
- Autonomous approach with the ability to react and adapt.
- Open-minded and synthetic thinking with the capability to step back and propose new ideas.
- Open to new digital technologies and understanding their benefits.
- Advanced level of English and French. Spanish is a plus.
This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by the recognized authorities.
