We are seeking an expert in cartographic data production for the GeoMaps project, which focuses on multi-scale cartographic productions (from city plans to country-level). This role is based in VELIZY VILLACOUBLAY.
Project Context:
The GeoMaps project generates cartographic data for the French Defence as part of a multinational consortium. This project operates within a GME (Groupement Momentané d’Entreprises) involving Thales and Airbus, a partnership that has been ongoing for over 20 years. The Thales-Airbus group is responsible for the entire process, from understanding the needs of the staff to the quality control of delivered products.
Your Challenges:
The missions to be carried out include:
- Providing expert support to the client.
- Participating in the evolution of technical standards to meet client expectations.
- Producing and controlling cartographic data at different scales (from 1/5000 to 1/250,000).
- Maintaining and updating production chains in line with the evolution of technical standards.
Your Profile:
The desired skills and qualifications are:
- A background in cartography and geomatics.
- Strong expertise in cartography (portrayals, state of the art, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of cartographic production software (LorikSoftware), GIS, and standard office tools.
- Education: Geography Engineer or Master's degree in Geomatics and/or Cartography.
- Languages: Fluent French and B2 level English.
