About the Role
As an Environmental Project Engineer at MBDA, you will play a crucial role in developing and simulating environments across the weapons life cycle. You will work with ground-breaking analytical tools and innovative techniques within world-class specialist mechanical and climatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to build close working relationships with various MBDA functions, sectors, and Chief Engineers, including Systems Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Proving teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise in generating environmental requirements.
- Supporting the development of robust product designs.
- Defining and managing cost-effective proving strategies throughout the product development cycle.
- Collaborating with experienced project and test engineers to define and deliver environmental test programmes.
- Acting as a technical focal point for all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept definition and design aid to formal qualification, certification, and in-service support.
- Serving as a technical interface with customers for the delivery of technical work packages, including planning, delivery, and monitoring, making engineering decisions to ensure projects are delivered to plan.
