About the Role
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join a high-impact program at our Nowra, NSW facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of Air Traffic Control and navigational systems essential for the Australian Airforce's military aerospace operations.
Core Duties
- Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on Air Traffic Control (ATC) navigation and communications systems.
- Utilize Defence maintenance systems to accurately log and manage all assigned tasks.
- Respond effectively to operational needs and support controller staff.
- Independently diagnose faults, certify maintenance activities, and contribute to system integration efforts.
- Complete necessary OEM training, including travel, to ensure optimal system readiness.
- Adhere to all internal reporting requirements.
About You
- Possess a Certificate III/IV in Electronics or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working as an Electronics Technician.
- Previous experience with radar and/or air traffic control systems, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a highly regulated, defence-aligned environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance and ITAR (mandatory requirement).
