About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical / Electronic Field Engineer to join our team at an entry-level position, based in Faslane, Helensburgh. This role offers a competitive 9/75 working pattern, providing you with every other Friday off. You will be instrumental in the maintenance of the SWS (Strategic Weapon System) Navigation Sub-system, supporting both current and next-generation nuclear submarines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance for the SWS Navigation Sub-system.
  • Participate in short periods at sea as required.
  • Travel domestically within the UK and internationally to the US (typically annually) for meetings, training, and maintenance support.

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for an engineer with a minimum HNC qualification and practical experience in a hands-on Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical role. We are also keen to hear from graduates in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or related subjects who are seeking a hands-on Electrical / Electronic Engineering career. You should be adept at following procedural documentation, promoting a positive health and safety culture, and taking a pro-active approach to problem-solving.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build and maintain customer relationships, and a team-player mentality are essential.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of SWS.
  • Familiarity with Inertial Navigation Concepts.
