Dual Study Program: Industrial Engineer (Wirtschaftsingenieur/-in)

Are you curious about technology and want to help shape the world of tomorrow? Then an apprenticeship or dual study program at Airbus in Augsburg is the right choice for you!

During the dual study program, you will learn how to master technical challenges with business know-how. You will be prepared to understand complex technical processes and to optimize them specifically with regard to costs, efficiency, and quality. Your task will be to define interfaces between technology and business and to accompany their implementation.

At the beginning of your studies, we offer you a basic mechanical training and you will get to know all manufacturing departments of aircraft construction. Further practical assignments include production planning, program/project management, purchasing, finance, and controlling.

The studies at the university will impart the theoretical foundations for the practical phases within the company, where you will gain direct insight into the field of work. The core subjects of the study program largely include technical and economic modules. Furthermore, after completing the fourth semester, you can choose a specialization. Here you can choose from the specializations: Networked Digital Systems, Technical Sales, International Technical Management, Production and Logistics, and Innovation Management.

What you should bring:

  • Technical college or university entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife, general or subject-restricted Hochschulreife).
  • Good performance, especially in mathematics and physics.
  • A pronounced understanding of technology and business administration.
  • Logical thinking skills.
