About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Project Procurement function at MBDA UK. Our Project Procurement team focuses on sourcing, contracting, and supplying customized, high-value, and high-complexity sub-systems. We are also responsible for acquiring new technology to deliver world-leading defence capabilities for our home nations and their allies. A key aspect of our work involves developing and maintaining long-term, open, collaborative, and commercially robust business relationships with suppliers who deliver sophisticated sub-systems and outstanding services to MBDA and its customers.
We are looking for a Strategic Procurement Domain Manager to take the lead in developing procurement strategies for sourcing and delivering essential equipment and services that support MBDA UK's domestic and export programmes.
This role is ideal for an individual who can cultivate senior collaborator relationships, both internally and externally. You will be expected to understand MBDA UK's business direction and align the capabilities of potential and current suppliers to meet these evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand how the business is developing, identify future requirements and market trends, and advise on Procurement and Supply Chain direction.
- Handle and influence key internal collaborators across the business, building collaborative relationships to ensure the procurement agenda has credibility and visibility.
- Apply a focused approach to Supplier Relations.
- Develop procurement strategies for sourcing and delivering equipment and services.
- Support MBDA UK's domestic and export programmes.
- Align potential and current supplier capabilities with MBDA UK's business direction.
