Join Airbus Protect as a Supplier Control specialist, where you will be responsible for the qualification and oversight of suppliers providing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with Design Organisation Approval (DOA) requirements.

// Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct transnational audits and technical assessments of global suppliers.
  • Implement supplier monitoring plans for Design & Build and intellectual service providers.
  • Manage supplier acceptance status and interface with Airbus Procurement's Supply Chain & Quality functions.
  • Represent Airbus before external authorities like EASA regarding supplier monitoring.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of EASA Part 21J or EN9100.

// Role Specification

The DOA Supplier Control & Extended Enterprise team is responsible for the qualification and control of all suppliers providing engineering deliverables in accordance with Design Organisation Approval (DOA) requirements. Within this activity, the team also represents Airbus before external authorities (e.g., EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency). Furthermore, the team is responsible for defining the overall extended governance of the unit (processes, roles, and responsibilities) and is a key stakeholder in defining the subcontracting strategy.

Your future role includes:

  • Leading the control of supplier qualification/delegation.
  • As an auditor, you will be responsible for conducting transnational audits and technical evaluations for suppliers worldwide.
  • Implementing the monitoring plan for Design & Build suppliers and intellectual service providers.
  • Prioritizing, planning, and ensuring supplier monitoring and assessing the acceptance status of supplier organizations.
  • Ensuring interface with the Supply Chain & Quality function within Airbus Procurement and contributing to the supplier control process for engineering.
  • Representing Airbus before external authorities (e.g., EASA) concerning the supplier monitoring status.

  • Educated at a top engineering school or university, ideally with a specialization in Auditing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Solid knowledge of EASA Part 21J or EN9100.
  • Strong synthesis skills and excellent written communication abilities.

  • Positive and collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills.
