Program Overview
In collaboration with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus presents the exclusive 'Discover' program. This initiative is tailored for individuals seeking advanced training in essential future-oriented knowledge areas. The program includes:
- A Master's degree structured into three training blocks, focusing on in-demand skills.
- An 11-month paid internship at Airbus in a field relevant to your degree, offering practical learning and academic completion.
The internship is a full-time commitment (40 hours/week) commencing in early October 2026. August is a non-working period for all purposes.
Internship Focus: Mission Systems & AI
Tasks to be Carried Out:
- Conduct state-of-the-art research and benchmarking of emerging AI tools for mission planning.
- Design and develop AI models for identifying and classifying anomalous maritime behaviors and threats.
- Implement Explainable AI (xAI) techniques for model transparency.
- Research and implement algorithms for generating synthetic datasets for AI training.
- Integrate developed AI solutions into existing mission system software architectures.
- Create technical documentation for designs and implementations.
Knowledge to be Acquired:
- Deep understanding of Airbus Mission Planners' functional and technical environment.
- Practical experience with Advanced AI Architectures, including Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning.
- Specialized knowledge in Anomaly Detection within maritime data.
- Mastery of techniques for interpreting and validating complex AI models (xAI).

Project Area:
