About the Role
Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Change Manager to join the Configuration Design Engineering department. You will play a crucial role in supporting configuration activities for Airbus derivatives programs, focusing on the A330 MRTT and new A321 AEWC and A321 Patmar aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Manage modifications flow.
- Support to certification process for authorities.
- Prepare reports on the configuration at different stages.
- Define the general criteria and requirements for the design product structure and support its creation.
- Participate as a representative in Configuration meetings.
- Verify if the design product structure complies with change objectives and procedures.
- Participate in the definition of requirements for PLM related to Configuration Management tasks, including verification and validation of implementation.
- Support the update and definition of configuration procedures included in the Design Organization Manual.
- Check already/not yet certified items to identify certification needs for specific versions under development.
- Be part of new DDMS implementations and contribute to shaping future design methodologies and processes.
- Influence and cross-collaborate with other programs and processes within the department.
Skills and Experience
- Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial engineering degree or a related discipline.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Configuration Management (at least CM Certification Level 1).
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Specific Design Engineering, MRTT program, Airworthiness, or Chief Engineering (Modifications and Design Changes).
- Knowledge of configuration tools/PLM, specifically Sprint.NET and EPD-Connect/Optegra.
- Advanced level in English and Spanish (French is a plus).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
