Role Overview

Within the Cyber & Security Solutions area, we are looking for a Project Manager for our Rome Laurentina office. The role sits within the Police Forces & Homeland Security Line of Business (LoB), responsible for managing divisional business related to Police Forces (national and international), Homeland Security Agencies, and entities involved in critical incident and emergency management.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure project/program objectives are achieved through the coordination of cross-functional IPTs, meeting operational milestones, fulfilling contractual agreements, and ensuring quality of results to build and maintain client trust.
• Manage the economic and financial aspects of programs/projects, ensuring correct progress and monitoring, interfacing with various company stakeholders, and agreeing on corrective actions with the Manager to ensure program/project success and client satisfaction.
• Support business winning phases by identifying and developing new business opportunities, aligned with Business Area Strategy and client needs.
• Ensure full adherence to company processes and tools, preparing and presenting results using dedicated metrics for operational, managerial, and economic monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Degree in STEM disciplines or equivalent experience.
• Seniority: Expert/Senior. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management or Technical Project Leader roles.
• Technical Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of main Project Management and Planning methodologies.
• Knowledge of principles and methodologies for planning and managing project finances, including key performance indicators.
• Experience in Solution Design.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects.
• Ability to analyze and define functional and technical requirements, including effort estimation and negotiation.
• Ability to identify and analyze risks and opportunities, and define mitigation actions.
• Proven experience in managing contractual frameworks and their implications, both client contracts and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of tools and procedures for planning and managing the active and passive product lifecycle (e.g., SAP).
• Knowledge of Project and Risk Management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to estimate sizing for complex software projects (e.g., Function Point, man-days).
• Knowledge of main software development lifecycle models and methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, Object Oriented).
• Desirable Skills:
• Experience in managing reengineering projects for applications based on microservices architectures, with integrated design and architecture evolution.
• Adoption of DevOps methodologies and coordination of technical aspects related to containerization and orchestration.
• Project management experience and solid background in main AI application areas, particularly big data analytics and HPC systems.
• Knowledge of main IT architectural models, including on-premises, cloud, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS services.
• Experience managing Cloud projects, with a focus on migrating custom applications to modern, scalable architectures.
• Design and adoption of cloud computing architectures, including cloud-native approaches, fully-managed services, and different deployment models.
• Coordination of projects in Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience, focusing on architectural and organizational aspects.
