Change Manager
Join BAE Systems and become a pivotal part of a major Finance transformation programme, the Ad Astra programme. As a Business Change Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering business change and readiness activities, specifically supporting single business unit deployments.
Your role will involve assessing the impact of changes on processes, systems, data, and ways of working. You will develop comprehensive readiness plans and ensure colleagues are well-prepared to adopt new ways of working. By collaborating closely with programme and business stakeholders, you will drive successful adoption, support the realisation of benefits, and ensure a consistent change approach across the programme.
Core Duties:
- Lead and document change impact assessments for business unit deployments.
- Identify the impact of changes on processes, systems, data, and ways of working.
- Facilitate change impact workshops and produce clear outputs to support deployment activities.
- Develop and deliver business change and readiness plans aligned to programme objectives.
- Create and map user journeys to support the adoption of new processes and solutions.
- Support the development of engagement and communication materials for various stakeholder groups.
- Work with business teams to identify, track, and manage readiness activities and associated risks.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Monitor and report on change progress, readiness activities, and benefit realisation measures.
- Collaborate with programme, deployment, and business teams to support successful implementation.
Essential Skills:
- Experience delivering business change and readiness activities within large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Experience leading change impact assessments, workshops, and impact analysis documentation.
- Experience developing change plans, user journeys, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Knowledge of Finance processes, with Financial Planning & Analysis experience being desirable.
- Solid stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
The Team:
You will join the Ad Astra programme, a business-led, technology-enabled transformation modernising Finance across BAE Systems. This programme focuses on strengthening Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities through improved data usage, streamlined processes, and more effective planning and forecasting.
As part of the Business Change team, you will play a key role in supporting a major business unit deployment. You will work closely with Business Change, Delivery, and Adoption leads to help colleagues successfully adopt new ways of working.
