About the Role
MBDA is seeking a talented Systems Design Engineer to join the CAMM Family Systems Design team, specifically within the Design and Certification team. This dynamic role involves contributing to the entire design lifecycle of the CAMM product, collaborating across various business functions, and playing a key part in developing cutting-edge technology.
Department Overview
The System Design Missile Systems (SDMS) department is a core part of Missile Design UK, focused on providing essential Systems Engineering skills for in-service missile systems. The team enables the sustainment and enhancement of customer capabilities by delivering product increments and spirals. They establish requirements, define system architectures, and guide the verification and validation process, ensuring product certification and acceptance. SDMS also provides system-level assurance for performance, security, and safety.
Your Responsibilities
- Engage in engineering activities for CAMM family products, covering requirements, architecture, proving strategies, and evidence generation for certification.
- Work across multiple business functions, leading the development of technology throughout the design lifecycle.
- Support the full systems lifecycle of programmes, from initial requirements through to product certification and acceptance.
- Deliver activities for CAMM and CAMM-ER across various variants and programmes, including Obsolescence phases and Export Contracts.
- The opportunity exists to take on a leadership role for specific contract tasks for suitable candidates.
