About the Role

As an Aircraft Inspector at Babcock's RAF Aldergrove site in Northern Ireland, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high standards of aircraft inspections and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include scheduled servicing and Check A tasks, contributing directly to operational excellence and surpassing customer expectations.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct scheduled and corrective maintenance on the LAFT aircraft fleet, including aircraft handling.
  • Supervise and certify technician staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Perform pre-use checks and scheduled maintenance on ground support equipment, ensuring full documentation compliance.
  • Carry out general duties as assigned, such as driving, stores support, and housekeeping.
  • Accurately complete all maintenance documentation in accordance with legislation and company procedures.

What You'll Bring:

  • Essential experience in preparing aircraft for daily operations, including pre-flight checks and fuel replenishment.
  • Experience within military or civilian Part 145 maintenance environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer-facing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
  • IT proficiency is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • A recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated practical and theoretical engineering competence.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience in military or civilian aircraft engineering environments.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
