Production Engineer - A/C Assembly & Disassembly

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) for a Production Engineer specializing in Aircraft Assembly & Disassembly, System Installation, and Functional Test for the FAL A330 MRTT program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the multifunctional team within TAOTT4, integrating Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Production Control, and assigned resources to meet delivery goals with no pending works.
  • Lead a diverse team including Airbus shopfloor managers, electricians, mechanics, maintenance & testing technicians, and subcontractors operating within the same A/C zone.
  • Ensure effective coordination across different TAOTT zones to achieve AG2 objectives.
  • Maintain appropriate workload-capacity balancing with the right competencies.
  • Ensure all stakeholders adhere to Health & Safety, Quality, FOD, DIM, and House Keeping standards within the area of responsibility.
  • Champion continuous improvement and Operational Excellence within the area.
  • Guarantee Voice of the Customer (VOC) communication and drive actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead cultural transformation towards a more efficient organization.
  • Act as a role model for Health & Safety, team engagement, energy, Airbus values, and ethics & compliance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or Planning & Production Control.
  • Soft Skills: Strong conflict management skills and a proven ability to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Languages: Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies to reduce costs, shorten lead times, innovate, and digitalize processes.
  • Valuable: Experience in A330 MRTT conversion, aircraft disassembly/assembly, refurbishing, and functional test processes. Experience organizing and supervising production groups and subcontractors. Knowledge of IT tools such as SIPLA, Digital, Bar Chart, DEMAT, CATIA, SNT. Understanding of Part 145 and 21 regulations.
