Weapon System Equipment Engineer - Undergraduate Placement 2027
The Weapon System Equipment (WSE) team is integral to MBDA's success, managing diverse equipment groups and weapon system sub-systems. This responsibility spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial bidding and concept generation through development, production, delivery, and final platform integration.
The Opportunity
As a Weapon System Engineer within MBDA, you will join a dynamic, multi-national group renowned for its diverse engineering and specialist skills. You will contribute to projects that ensure our products meet critical customer needs in an increasingly complex battlefield. The WSE team specifically focuses on providing the necessary expertise for a wide range of weapon system aspects, extending beyond the missile itself.
You will be involved in managing equipment and sub-systems from the bidding stage, concept and requirements generation, through development programmes, to production, delivery, and final integration. The WSE team is committed to ensuring products and equipment are fit for purpose, delivered on time, and within cost. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in technical engineering, project management, and product delivery.

Working Environment:

Security Clearance:
Candidates must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
