About the Role
As a Senior Systems Design Engineer within the System Design Missiles Function, you will apply your systems engineering expertise to significant programmes developing advanced Complex Weapons capabilities. These capabilities are designed to counter sophisticated threats across Air, Land, and Sea domains for the UK and allied Armed Forces.
The Opportunity
The System Design Missiles function is seeking Senior System Design Engineers to join teams working on various missile systems throughout their lifecycles. This is a prime opportunity to contribute to the defence of our nation and its allies. You will leverage your systems engineering skills in key areas such as:
- Establishing requirements
- Developing system architectures
- Guiding the verification and validation process
- Providing system-level performance assurance
- Certifying products for acceptance by the Customer and their assurance agencies

What We're Looking For
- A desire to enhance experience in Systems Engineering across multiple lifecycle phases, including requirements, system architecture, verification, and certification.
- An eagerness to deepen understanding of Systems Engineering processes related to system performance and the functional chain domain.
- Experience with Systems Engineering toolsets such as DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise engineering documentation.
- Strong verbal communication, listening, and time management skills.
- The ability to engage effectively with subject matter experts.
