Our UK Cyber & Intelligence business combines modern software development approaches with a rich heritage and experience in the Defence and security sectors. Our customers have complex and sensitive data and information requirements requiring a mission partner who quickly understands the context, delivering and sustaining a portfolio of challenging technology projects at scale and pace, supporting them through an ambitious digital transformation programme.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance to ensure critical systems remain operational.
- Monitor systems to ensure maximum availability.
- Support the wider development team in working through critical issues and remediate them.
- Identify technical risks/opportunities and proactively develop plans to mitigate and realise them.
- Maintain accurate documentation including a record of issues and faults along with solutions.
- Implement DevOps and/or SRE best practices as required on relevant systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on experience of supporting and debugging complex live operational systems, including monitoring of logs through tools such as Splunk / ELK stack.
- Ability to proactively manage own tasking and react to higher priority tasks.
- Experience of Linux server administration.
- Experience in technologies such as Apache NiFi, MinIO/ AWS S3.
- Experience managing and patching Java and Python applications.
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker / Podman and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes / OpenShift.
