Commercial Lead - MBDA UK
This is a fantastic opportunity to act as the focal point for MBDA UK, managing all commercial and contractual matters. You will provide strong leadership for the Commercial UK function, serving as the commercial authority for assigned projects and driving high-performing delivery.
The role focuses on developing people and enhancing the commercial skill set within the team. You will lead the development of commercial teams, promoting professional standards and ensuring MBDA's commercial capability is maintained and strengthened. Engage in lead commercial interactions with the customer on complex commercial issues, considering the strategic impact to achieve excellent delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities include providing authorisation for bid submissions, contract signatures, and functional activities within delegated authority, as well as ensuring compliance and appropriate application of company policies and standards. You will offer advice and guidance on complex terms and conditions, ensuring business-impacting clauses are fully understood.
Key Accountabilities:
- In conjunction with the Head of Commercial and VP Commercial, safeguard MBDA's Commercial interests throughout all contract phases.
- Collaborate with the Head of Commercial to direct teams and project stakeholders in devising appropriate strategies for resolving contractual disputes and maximising opportunities.
- Ensure assigned Project Teams and direct reports clearly understand MBDA UK's requirements within UK contract terms, particularly concerning: Single Source Pricing Regulations, Defcons, Intellectual Property, Cyber Security, Non-standard terms (e.g., liabilities and indemnities), and Commercial risk.
- Provide Commercial rigour in allocated programmes, focusing on establishing clear baselines and ensuring adherence to cost and schedule moving forwards.
