RF Systems Lead Engineer - Data Link Systems
MBDA is expanding its world-leading Data Link Systems organisation and has an exciting opportunity for an RF Systems Lead Engineer. This role is pivotal in leading data link systems engineering for a new weapons system programme, requiring close collaboration with suppliers and customers, and providing essential technical guidance to junior engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the development of data link capabilities and accelerate data link technologies for the Future Air Superiority Effector (FASE) program.
- Steer and manage technical studies within data link systems and supporting technologies.
- Oversee the delivery of technical capabilities to ensure program readiness.
- Conduct and manage trade studies.
- Verify the performance of prototype hardware for rapid exploitation.
- Engage with key technology suppliers.
- Liaise with customers to understand their needs and present our technological capabilities.
- Lead a multi-disciplined team, including RF systems engineers and related functions.
- Play a crucial role in shaping future battlespace connectivity.
What We're Looking For:
- A strong understanding of RF technologies and system-level design for RF communication systems.
- Ideally, a degree qualification in a STEM subject.
- A robust background in systems engineering across the entire product lifecycle.
- Experience in managing suppliers.
- Customer-facing skills are highly desirable.

- Salary circa £55,000, dependent on experience.
