About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Bristol-based Product Assurance Software Quality team. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to further develop their quality assurance skills by becoming an integral part of the wider Product Assurance community within MBDA. You will be assisting the UK Engineering Directorate's software teams on missile programs, ensuring that high-quality weapon systems are delivered to our global partners. What We're Looking For
The core of this position involves maintaining software quality through diligent adherence to established procedures and guidelines. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and industries who possess:
- Experience in software development, the full software lifecycle, and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of software processes, including national and international standards and assurance requirements.
- An ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across all programmes.
- A collaborative yet objective approach with the capability to influence change when necessary.
- The ability to lead Project Quality Assessments, identify risks and critical issues, and provide recommendations for monthly reports.
- Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
- The capacity to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected changes effectively.
- The ability to work independently as part of a functional and integrated team.
- Ideally, an Engineering Degree or equivalent experience, with an understanding of new technologies or proven experience in their application.
- Experience or knowledge of configuration management.
Auditing experience would be advantageous.
