Our St Leonards-on-Sea facility specializes in avionic mission computing systems for military fast jets, helicopters, and UAVs. We are developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems for new aircraft platforms, integrating aircraft systems, sensor systems, and stores management systems for aircrew in demanding operational environments.

The Role: Programme or Senior Programme Manager

As a Programme or Senior Programme Manager, you will be an integral part of our avionic or naval teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects to achieve schedule milestones, cost targets, and performance standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Execute projects through all phases, including Bid, Development, Production, and Support, with full accountability for project performance metrics.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively managing expectations and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
• Identify and proactively pursue follow-on business opportunities across all company product lines.
• Participate in bid management processes, coordinating cost estimates and proposal generation for new and existing business opportunities.
• Achieve key project financial targets (Bookings, Billings/Cash, EBIT), deliver on Contract Statement of Work (SOW), and meet company On-Time Acceptable Delivery (OTAD) targets.
• Hold responsibility for critical performance indicators such as project financial performance, timely delivery of project milestones, customer satisfaction ratings, and the generation of follow-on business opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

• Considerable experience as a Programme Manager; defence industry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience managing development contracts through their entire project life cycle.
• Knowledge of engineering, production, and manufacturing practices and procedures.
• Proven experience operating within high-technology, highly regulated environments.
• A good level of interpersonal skills, negotiation ability, commercial/technical astuteness, and sound judgment.
• Achievement of the APMP qualification is desirable.
