About the Role
As a Principal Systems Design Engineer within the System Design Missiles function, you will play a crucial role in delivering essential systems engineering artefacts for major programmes. You will be developing the latest Complex Weapons capabilities for the UK and allied Armed Forces, addressing advanced threats across Air, Land, and Sea domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for specific project elements, including requirement definition.
- Define and generate systems architecture and corresponding models.
- Scope and execute plans for product certification.
- Support the development of more junior engineers.
- Continue to grow your own expertise within a critical defence sector.

What We're Looking For
- Systems engineering experience across multiple lifecycle phases (requirements, system architecture, verification, certification).
- Understanding of systems engineering processes for system performance and functional chains is beneficial.
- Experience with systems engineering toolsets such as DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise engineering documentation.
