Occupational Health Advisor (Temporary)
MBDA, a leading defence organisation, is looking for a temporary Occupational Health Advisor to join their growing Occupational Health & Wellbeing (OH&W) Team for a 12-month period, with the possibility of extension. This role is crucial in supporting the Armed Forces and ensuring the health and wellbeing of all MBDA employees.
The OH&W Team provides a comprehensive service, combining internal and external resources, to protect the health and wellbeing of MBDA's workforce. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of an efficient, effective, and high-quality OH service.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver a proactive health service that protects and promotes the physical and psychological wellbeing of all MBDA UK employees.
- Carry out the full remit of an Occupational Health Advisor, including health screening, health surveillance, case management, and health promotion activities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across HR, Safety, and the wider business, responding appropriately to give expert guidance in the field of OH.
- Meet different challenges of projects or work streams, demonstrating excellent organisational and IT skills in response to changing business needs.
- Work collaboratively within the team and provide support to assist the development of OH technicians and the wider OH team.
- Provide clinical advice to support the wellbeing strategy, including wellbeing initiatives across the annual calendar.
- Assist or deliver regular manager training activities.
- Lead on projects and drive service delivery improvements.
- Manage a complex caseload and deliver excellent written advice.
