Senior Test Engineer - Manufacturing
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing team, focusing on providing crucial test engineering support during the design and development phases of new products. This role spans from initial concept through to the Production Readiness Review and subsequent release to Operations, ensuring programme targets for time, cost, and quality are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive Test Engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept to Production Readiness Review and release to Operations.
- Support the introduction of test facilities, ensuring appropriate configuration control of equipment and facilities is established prior to use.
- Generate supporting test specifications and operator instructions for new products.
- Conduct testing of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, diagnosing production test failures down to the component level.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, design teams, and other stakeholders to overcome technical challenges.
- Ensure all deliverables align with programme and quality requirements, upholding Test Engineering functional governance and driving continuous improvement.
- Work alongside Test TX's and design engineers to understand and implement project test strategies, influencing designs to incorporate appropriate testability solutions.
- Assist in compiling initial process flows (MTIF's) for new products.
- Create and maintain MTRS's for production test equipment.
- Support the Process FMEA, ensuring that necessary test mitigations are in place.
- Initiate test fixture designs for new product development.
- Assist the Test Equipment Development (TED) team in compiling new test instructions.
- Estimate the time required for testing new products.
