The Role
In this crucial position, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Certifying completed work in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals.
- Diagnosing faults and executing repairs efficiently to minimize aircraft downtime.
- Ensuring accurate recording of all maintenance activities and adherence to standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and performance.
This is a full-time, permanent role located at RAF Cosford, involving a 40-hour work week with shift patterns that include weekends. Occasional travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.
Essential Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Proven experience working in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
- Relevant type ratings or demonstrable experience across similar aircraft platforms.
- The ability to work effectively within a team with meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills with stakeholders to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- A UK CAA qualification or its equivalent/similar.
- A valid B1.1, B.1.2, B3 licence, or an equivalent/similar qualification.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance, which meets BPSS standards for this role.
