HVAC Test Project Manager
Babcock is seeking a motivated HVAC Test Project Manager to join the Hinkley Point C project near Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on leading the delivery of critical engineering systems for one of the UK's most significant nuclear infrastructure projects.

As the HVAC Test Project Manager, you will be instrumental in the successful commissioning of HVAC systems. You will act as the key interface between design, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning teams, driving performance, managing risks, and ensuring the safe execution of work within a strictly regulated sector. Key Responsibilities
- Drive the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of HVAC contract and project package activities.
- Coordinate contract administration, including variations, technical queries, claims, and instructions.
- Manage project risks, programme performance, budgets, schedules, and change control.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, manufacturing teams, and site stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and commissioning readiness.
- Apply Earned Value Management principles and produce progress reports for informed decision-making.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering projects in technically complex, highly regulated engineering or construction environments.
- Demonstrated ability in managing engineering, procurement, construction, and project delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
- Experience in controlling project costs, schedules, risks, and change management processes.
- Skilled in managing contractors, consultants, and stakeholders within large-scale infrastructure programmes.
- Proficiency in applying project management methodologies and commercial reporting techniques, including Earned Value Management.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and practical application of recognised Project Management methodologies, such as Association for Project Management Body of Knowledge and/or PRINCE2.
Working Arrangements
This role is based at Hinkley Point C and requires site-based working five days per week. The standard working week is 37 hours, Monday to Friday.
