About the Role

The Sea Ceptor programme is advancing into a new development phase, welcoming new export customers and evolving system designs. This includes integration with the Mk41 launcher and the anticipated development of dual-layer and tri-layer capabilities with new CAMM munition variants. The MLU/MLR programme is also active with the UK MOD, focused on enhancing the Royal Navy's capabilities.

As the Head of Subsystems, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer and be responsible for the development and successful delivery into service of significant platform subsystem equipment. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Sea Ceptor system.

Key Subsystem Areas

  • Command and Control: Enables user operation of the weapon system.
  • System Control Equipment: Ensures high-integrity control of the weapon system.
  • Launch Management System: Manages the interface with the launcher and munitions.
  • Platform Datalink: Provides secure communication with munitions during flight.
  • Maintainer Local Terminal: Facilitates weapon system configuration, software updates, log retrieval, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of subsystem Certificates of Design, directing Design Authorities to ensure on-time, on-cost, and high-quality delivery.
  • Lead subsystem Design Authorities, fostering an environment for successful delivery across multiple concurrent development programmes.
  • Manage mid-life update and obsolescence programmes, alongside providing support for in-service product queries.
  • Full accountability for all Subsystem Safety activities, ensuring cohesive integration across all contributing subsystems.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for new business bids pertaining to the subsystems task group.
