// Role Specification

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Doors Assembly Mechanic (m/f/d) to support the Single Aisle Cargo Door & Riveting department with knowledge transfer. This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.

Your Location

The role is based at the Donauwörth site, situated on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, where helicopters are developed from initial concept to flight-ready products. You will experience flights from our own test airfield.

The role also involves significant time in Querétaro, Mexico, a region known for its safety, cleanliness, and economic success.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Technical Qualification: Intensive training in structure assembly at the Donauwörth site focusing on various riveting techniques (solid rivets, blind rivets, interference rivets), sealing and bonding (handling sealants), and mechanical processing (drilling, countersinking, reaming, and deburring of metallic materials).
  • International Knowledge Transfer: Successful deployment in Mexico to provide technical support and on-the-job training to local AHMQ employees.
  • Process Optimization & Quality Assurance: Ensuring Airbus quality standards in Mexican manufacturing and supporting error analysis and resolution.
  • Intercultural Interface Competence: Close collaboration and communication in an international environment.

Your Work Schedule Model in Detail

  • Phase 1: 6 - 8 months of intensive training in Donauwörth.
  • Phase 2: Alternating rhythm (4 weeks in Querétaro / 6 weeks in Donauwörth). A longer service stay in Mexico is also conceivable if desired.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Completed technical vocational training.
  • Language Skills: Fluent German; proficient English and Spanish desirable.
  • Independent, committed, and structured way of working.
