Contract Management Specialist - Helicopters Division

Leonardo, a global leader in Aerospace, Defence, and Security, is seeking a Contract Management Specialist for its Helicopters Division. With a presence in 150 countries and over 60,000 employees, Leonardo delivers advanced technological capabilities and serves as a key partner to governments and defence organizations worldwide.

Mission

The primary mission of this role is to provide Project Managers (PMs) with expert advice on all contractual aspects throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes formulating any contractual changes and supporting the PM in evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Activities

  • Support Risk Managers in identifying contract risks.
  • Assist in the analysis of client requirements during the bidding phase.
  • Support the evaluation of contract requirements to assess technical and economic feasibility.
  • Contribute to the definition of High-Level schedules based on contractual milestones.
  • Support the definition of High-Level budgets based on contractual requirements.
  • Create Work Order Requests.
  • Interact with the client during contract signature.
  • Participate in initial project meetings to commence activities.
  • Identify contractual milestones, including those related to payments.
  • Support the definition of revenue plans and their implementation in company tools.
  • Conduct analysis of contractual requirements.
  • Measure initiative performance using predefined KPIs.
  • Participate in project team meetings to discuss project evolution, trends, and performance.
  • Support the definition of corrective actions to ensure adherence to the project plan.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss project performance, criticalities, or delays (PMR/SAL).
  • Analyze changes requested by the client.
  • Negotiate with clients regarding contractual requirements and expected revenues.
  • Collaborate on budget reviews (financial aspects) and create new baselines for performance measurement.
  • Assist in managing transportation activities, including certification management.
  • Support the management of import/export licensing.
  • Ensure coordination with the relevant divisional Legal department post-contract signing and assist in drafting contracts and amendments, including during negotiation phases.
  • Identify suitable preventive and corrective actions for debt collection, formulating and negotiating contractual changes, and contributing to price revisions.
  • Provide support in managing disputes with clients in cases of complaints or breaches of contractual agreements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics or Engineering preferred.
  • Ability to analyze contractual requirements and understand their technical and economic impacts.
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management concepts.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of English at B2 level or higher.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including client interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and interface with diverse stakeholders (PM, legal, finance, customer).
