Role Purpose
We are seeking an AI Specialist (Expert-Senior Level) for our Cascina Costa (VA) office. This role is pivotal in leading and providing expertise in computer vision, time series analysis, agentic AI, and the broader AI spectrum. The objective is to ensure the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI models that align with company goals and integrate seamlessly into our product ecosystems.
Key Accountabilities
- Model Development & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art computer vision and time series analysis models with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Integration & Deployment: Optimize and prepare developed AI models for deployment in various environments, with a specific emphasis on edge devices.
- Innovation & Knowledge Upkeep: Continuously research and apply the latest methodologies in machine learning, AI, and data science to maintain technological leadership.
Main Activities
- Design and test AI models and AI Agents in real-world, challenging conditions.
- Contribute to European-founded projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and integrate AI-based solutions.
- Ensure the scalability, robustness, and efficiency of models for deployment.
- Apply continuous learning to address operational challenges with the latest advancements in AI.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, Physics, Robotics, or related fields. A Ph.D. is considered a plus.
Level of Experience
- Expert-Senior level with 4-10 years of professional experience in AI.
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring junior team members is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in computer vision, time series analysis, and AI.
- Demonstrable expertise in edge device deployment.
- Proficiency with Python libraries: Pytorch, ONNX, TensorRT.
- Experience in C, C++, Rust, Go is a plus.
- Experience with MLOps is a plus.
- Version control using Git is mandatory.
- Experience with Docker/Singularity.
- Knowledge of the aeronautical sector and deployment on aeronautical systems is a strong plus.
- Experience in Optimization and Operational Research is a plus.
Languages
- English: Full professional proficiency.
- Italian language skills are a plus.
