About the Role
As the Deputy Commercial Manager at QinetiQ, you will play a crucial role in providing commercial support to a diverse portfolio of projects. You'll work within multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams, contributing to the established Business and Commercial strategy. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Your Responsibilities
You will act as an individual Commercial contributor across a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts.
- Handling agreements that are typically non-standard, of low to medium complexity.
- Supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or new business campaigns.
- Developing and sustaining customer relationship plans that lead to profitable, repeat business.
- Developing and implementing commercial models that optimize value and mutual benefit.
- Being confident in a range of different agreements, both pre- and post-award.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a Commercial setting within a highly regulated industry such as Defence or Aerospace.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree educated or comparable work experience.
- Accredited to IACCM (WCC) member status or higher.
- CIPS or MCIPS qualified.

This role is 37 hours per week and is based at our Bristol facility, with an expectation of being onsite 3 days per week on average. Travel to various QinetiQ sites, such as Boscombe Down, Farnborough, and Abbeywood, will be required.
