Technical Authority Transports & Energy

Leonardo SpA, a global leader in Aerospace, Defence, and Security, is looking for a **Technical Authority Transports & Energy** to join the Cyber & Security Solutions - LoB Critical Infrastructure & Large Enterprise division. The role is preferably based in **Chieti Scalo (CH)**, Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Technical Authority for clients, providing specialized technical support during both the tendering and execution phases of projects.
• Gather and process client and contract requirements, defining system solutions using the Division's products and integrating third-party products as needed.
• Ensure technical execution adheres to agreed-upon timelines, costs, and quality, providing support throughout the project lifecycle in coordination with other company functions.
• Plan and manage solution integration and validation activities before client delivery, overseeing field activation and acceptance testing.

Requirements:

• Education: Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electronic Engineering (or related fields).
• Seniority: Expert with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in technical coordination roles within structured engineering companies, design firms, or infrastructure, energy, or transport sector operators.
• Experience: Specific experience or interest in the transport sectors (e.g., railways, metros, electric mobility) and/or energy sectors (e.g., distribution networks, renewables, charging infrastructure).
• Technical Skills:
• Understanding of methodologies for design, verification, validation, qualification, and acceptance in Critical Infrastructure.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation (specifications, electrical schematics, construction drawings, system architectures, technical specifications, interface documentation).
• Knowledge of national (PFTE, Progetto Definitivo/Esecutivo/Costruttivo) and international (Preliminary Engineering, FEED, EPC) engineering nomenclature.
• Ability to manage the security of complex infrastructures, next-generation broadband networks, and cloud-native services, with knowledge of Cybersecurity components (firewalling, VPN, IDS/IPS, data encryption, SIEM, PAM, OT probes, IT/OT monitoring).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST), European cybersecurity regulations (NIS2 Directive), industrial cybersecurity standards for OT systems (IEC 62443), information security management standards (ISO/IEC 27001), and the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
• Willingness to deepen knowledge of applicable regulations, national and international technical standards, and industry best practices, maintaining an approach focused on technological evolution.
• Knowledge of TELCO solutions used in critical infrastructure (transportation Metro & Railways, Energy) and fundamental design documentation (IP addressing, routing plans, fiber optic allocation, link budget, coverage studies, acoustic studies, legacy interfaces).
• Preferable knowledge of 4G/5G Mobile Networks and Mission Critical Communications (MCx) broadband technologies, especially for transport, energy, and operational infrastructures.
• Preferential Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Data Valorization & Analytics architectures, including data quality, governance, integration, KPI, dashboarding, advanced analytics, and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Digital Twin concepts and applications in infrastructure and industry, including integration with digital models, real-time data, and physical assets.
• Knowledge of Smart Maintenance principles and advanced maintenance methodologies (condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, asset health monitoring, operational data analysis).
• Ability to correlate data from different technological domains (IT, OT, TELCO, IoT, supervision and control systems, field systems, maintenance systems).
• Ability to evaluate interoperability and integration between systems and platforms, particularly for IT/OT convergence, IoT, data platforms, and maintenance systems.
• Ability to evaluate implications of cybersecurity, data security, data governance, and resilience for Digital Twin, Analytics, IoT, and Smart Maintenance solutions.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies for critical infrastructures (IoT/IIoT, Edge Computing, AI/ML, Advanced Analytics, APM, Digital Twin).
• Troubleshooting capabilities and experience in Test & Commissioning, even in multi-technology and multi-vendor contexts.
• Ability to interface with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, IT, OT, Cyber Security, TELCO, and Data/Analytics teams.

• Proficiency with advanced office automation tools and familiarity with Project Management tools (Project, Primavera).
• Preferential skills in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and information process governance.
• Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) environments.
