About the Role
Leonardo is a strategic industrial partner in the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), working alongside BAE Systems and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to develop a next-generation "system of systems" for multi-domain defence operations. This program is at the forefront of aerospace and defence technology, driving innovation for the next fifty years and enhancing technological and industrial sovereignty.
This is an opportunity to join the Cyber & Security Solutions Business Unit as a Cyber Resilience Advisor at our Rome Laurentina office. You will be instrumental in ensuring the cyber resilience of advanced defence systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and gap analyses, defining baseline and detailed requirements for the cyber resilience of systems ranging from monolithic products to complex systems of systems and cyber-physical systems.
- Verify compliance with national and international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 15408, NIST CSF, NIST SP800-160 v2, NIST SP800-53 v5), military and civil sector regulations (e.g., ED-202A/DO-326A, ED-203A/DO-356A, DO-178C, Stanag 4754), and best practices.
- Prioritize implementation requirements based on criticality and mitigated risk.
- Perform cyclic monitoring activities on assessments to track the cyber resilience level of products/systems.
What We're Looking For
- Education: STEM Degree.
- Seniority: Expert/Senior level with at least 5 years of experience in the sector.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of national and international standards (ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 15408, NIST CSF, etc.), specific military and civil sector regulations (ED-202A/DO-326A, DO-178C, etc.), security by design principles, and risk analysis frameworks (ISO/IEC 27005, Magerit, etc.).
- Behavioral Skills: Ability to work independently and in complex international project teams, with a consultative approach to proactively engage with clients.
- Languages: Fluent English (minimum B2 level, preferably certified).
- IT Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency and capability in software development/scripting for Office Automation.
- Availability: Willingness to undertake domestic and international business travel, potentially for medium durations.
