The Role: Coordinating Authorised Person
We are seeking a Coordinating Authorised Person to cover multiple QinetiQ/MOD sites, including Pendine, Aberporth, and Malvern. In this role, you will assist the Senior Authorised Person, site Authorised Persons, and Estates Delivery teams in delivering, ensuring compliance with, and assuring JSP safe systems of work. You will also offer dedicated technical support and guidance to existing site-based Authorised Persons, acting as a mentor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various JSP375 Chapter 5 disciplines.
Your day-to-day activities will involve embedding operational Safe System of Work improvement programmes, identifying best practices across operations, and collaborating with teams to ensure a consistent approach to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide guidance to site Authorised Persons in planning activities related to specialist disciplines and areas.
- Coordinate statutory compliance for JSP 375 Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) delivery across regional sites through regular engagement with site Authorised Persons.
- Monitor and review performance, track trends, and escalate any issues, concerns, or obstacles to the Senior Authorised Person regarding JSP compliance.
- Ensure the robust application of health, safety, and environmental regulations, procedures, and processes to Authorised Person work activities.
- Ensure work is prioritised appropriately and issues are raised to site Estates Delivery teams to maintain asset safety and compliance.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar coordinating role.
- Previous Authorised Person experience working within regulated industries.
- Proven track record in Health & Safety and compliance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Authorised Person Certificate in one or more JSP disciplines (e.g., Hazardous Areas, Mechanical Systems, Confined Spaces, Petroleum, HV/LV Electrical).
- IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification.
- Full clean driving licence.

This is a 37-hour per week role, based at one of our Pendine, Aberporth, or Malvern sites. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
