About the Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of Domestic Commercial contracts, from bidding and negotiation to execution, and closure. This role offers the opportunity for significant engagement with senior management and provides line management responsibility for junior team members. You will contribute to multi-functional project teams, supporting the company's business plan, safeguarding MBDA's interests, and making a tangible difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Winning: Be responsible for the full Route to Contract, driving the bidding process, managing all commercial aspects, and ensuring cross-functional working to deliver robust bids. This includes drafting and reviewing proposals, terms and conditions, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of all contracts, agreements, and commercial issues, ensuring alignment with company objectives and contractual compliance.
- Contract Management: Oversee the commercial management of contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all contractual obligations are met. This includes managing contract amendments, reviewing deliverables, document marking, and contract closure.
- Compliance: Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including ITAR, EAR, and other relevant defence industry standards.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities related to bids and contracts, and collaborate with various departments to develop mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for Commercial matters, engaging with customers and providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
