The Role
BAE Systems is seeking a permanent, waged Aircraft Life Support Fitter to join our team in Pearce, Western Australia. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the readiness and safety of aircrew life support equipment for defence operations.
Core Duties
- Service and maintain aircrew life support equipment to defence standards.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to support defence operations and maintain equipment readiness.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in life support systems with minimal turnaround time.
- Fit, test, and adjust pilot life support gear for optimal safety and comfort.
- Deliver responsive customer support to pilots and operational teams.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and equipment status.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and pilots.
- Experience with life support systems or aviation equipment is highly regarded.
- Must be eligible for a defence security clearance.
