Acheteur (H/F) Defence Digital France & Export

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Buyer (H/F) to join the Defence Digital France & Export teams based in Élancourt, in the Paris region (78).

This is an early-career position within a team of Project Supply Managers (PSM). You will work in a stimulating project environment and will be supported to develop your purchasing skills while discovering the workings of defence programs.

In this role, you will represent the Purchasing organization within project teams, ensuring coherence between internal client needs and purchasing strategies. You will participate in the definition and implementation of purchasing approaches adapted to the success of projects.

You will work with industrial partners focused on digital, at the forefront of research and innovation, to contribute to achieving project objectives (cost, quality, deadline), in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.

This opportunity will allow you to develop a good understanding of the environment, technologies, players, and stakes of the defence markets.

Missions

• Act as the purchasing focal point for project teams and product lines.
• Contribute to a fluid and effective purchasing experience for internal clients.
• Coordinate the various purchasing functions involved in offers and projects: contract management, product management, supply chain operations, supplier quality, and supplier development.
• Actively participate in multi-functional purchasing teams (MFT) as a project representative.
• Implement purchasing strategies adapted to project needs.
• Ensure the application of Airbus purchasing processes.
• Facilitate information sharing and feedback between projects and support functions.
• Contribute to the monitoring of purchasing activities and reporting to project teams.

Profile

• You hold a degree in purchasing, supply chain, commerce, or an equivalent qualification.
• You have initial experience (internship, work-study, or first job) in purchasing or supply chain, and a strong appetite for these fields.
• You are attracted to working in a project environment and wish to develop your skills in this area.
• You are proactive, curious, and enjoy learning.
• You appreciate teamwork and know how to build trusting relationships with your contacts.
• You possess good communication skills and wish to develop your negotiation and influencing skills.
• You are prepared to travel occasionally to meet internal clients and suppliers.
• You have professional proficiency in French and English.
